HGP of the entire humane genome

Unfortunately, the maps constructed by the HGP
of the entire humane genome are drawn at the
wrong scale to be useful for pinpointing the
locations of genes. To get an idea of how scale
can be a problem, think about looking at a road
map. A low-resolution highway map can help
you find your way from one city to another, but
it can’t guide you to a very specific street
address in a particular city.
